Delaware Emergency Management Agency City of Wilmington Active Shooter TTX, Planning Workshop & Drill

The Olson Group, Ltd. (OGL) designed, conducted and evaluated two exercises and a planning workshop focusing on emergency protocols for the Louis L. Redding City/County Building in Wilmington, DE. The exercises and workshop provided City/County Building personnel, building management and security, City law enforcement, fire and EMS, and City officials to explore and address areas of vulnerability for a large government building in downtown Wilmington. The tabletop identified several areas for improvement, and as a result, OGL conducted a planning workshop with building management and security, law enforcement, and City Emergency Management to develop a Shelter-in-Place/Lockdown Plan for the building in the event of a threat or incident. The City of Wilmington Active Shooter Drill was held to exercise this plan. OGL followed HSEEP guidance in the design, development and conduct of these exercises and workshop.
