2017 Regional Response Summit: OGL coordinated the development a regional summit that directly supports the findings of the 2016 Big X After Action Report/Improvement Plan and the North Central Texas (NCT) Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (THIRA). OGL developed all the Summit materials including a supporting website (www.NCTEMWG.org), marketing materials, vendor and sponsor recruitment materials, Summit program, online registration, and a Regional Resource Directory.
OGL coordinated all speakers, vendors, sponsors, and community partners supporting the Summit. OGL negotiated with an area hotel for discounted room rates for attendees, speakers, and vendors., and coordinated with the venue for food and beverage and allocation of space for the Summit and vendor display areas. During the Summit, which took place on July 19 and 20, 2017, OGL provided the Summit moderator, summit staff, and brought together all critical North Central Texas response stakeholders in a collaborative environment to foster collaboration across jurisdictions to share specialties and resources.
