Biography

Gabriella Mantecon is a graduate of the University of North Texas, where she majored in Emergency Administration and Planning, was a member of the student chapter of the International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), and graduated Summa Cum Laude.  She possesses strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills and begins her OGL career with experience gained during her time with the Tarrant County, Texas, Office of Emergency Management.  Ms. Mantecon has focused on applying academic knowledge to real-world experiences by regularly volunteering, including supporting multiple full-scale exercises and participating in response and recovery efforts following floods, tornadoes, and other emergencies.  At the County, elected officials, colleagues, and constituents praised her skills in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and her ability to concisely present data.  She is deeply passionate about emergency management and seeks to utilize a multidisciplinary approach by applying knowledge from various academic fields coupled with practical skills gained as she proceeds in the profession.
