Delaware River and Bay Authority Airport Full-Scale Exercises

The Olson Group, Ltd. (OGL) was contracted by the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA) to lead the planning, design, conduct, and evaluation of full-scale exercises at the Wilmington-Philadelphia Regional Airport (ILG) in both 2010 and 2013. These exercises focused on mass casualty events at the airport, and provided an opportunity for ILG to exercise its emergency operations plans. It also provided an opportunity for New Castle County (Wilmington area) partner organizations, including fire and EMS departments, emergency management, hospitals, and law enforcement to exercise a coordinated response to a major incident at the airport. These exercises were used to meet FAA exercise requirements and identify areas for improvement and inclusion in ILG’s Airport Emergency Plan (AEP).
