Overview

The Olson Group, LTD (OGL) was tasked to work with DMAS staff to provide several deliverables:
⦁ two (2) COVID-19 response reconstitution seminars,
⦁ DMAS Continuity Plan overview seminar,
⦁ Initial COVID-response After-Action Response Workshop,
⦁ Departmental Continuity Plan Workshop,
⦁ Emergency Action Plan Workshop,
⦁ Two Continuity Plan Tabletop Exercises for Department leadership/management and Continuity of Operation Plan Coordinators.

The purpose of the 2020 Department of Medical Assistance Services Exercise Series is to orient staff on individual and organizational responsibilities during building emergencies of all types, including working strategies during a world-wide pandemic, continuity of agency operations during loss of parts or all of the DMAS facility, and Reconstitution back to normal operations in accordance with the DMAS Emergency Response and Preparedness Plan, the DMAS Continuity Plan, and the DMAS Reconstitution Plan.

The Seminars, Workshops, and Tabletop Exercises include the following objectives:

⦁ Examine and discuss the ability of Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) staff to implement planned continuity of operations procedures in response to a world-wide pandemic in accordance with the DMAS Continuity Plan. (Aligns to Mission Area Response Planning)

⦁ Examine, discuss, and orient Staff to Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) plans, policies, and procedures for response to natural, technological, and human caused emergency incidents as outlined in the DMAS Emergency Response and Preparedness Plan. (Aligns to Mission Area Response Planning)

Examine, discuss, and orient Staff to Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) continuity of operations plans, policies and procedures for recovery from an emergency incident that results in the loss of all or parts of the primary agency facility as outlined in the DMAS Continuity and Reconstitution Plans. (Aligns to Mission Area Recovery Planning)
